GERMANY SERIES 3

Corinthian MicroStars German Series 3 is the most complex of all the German series, as it features 2 waves of figures, and also 2 packaging formats!​

The figures were released in single sachet, the same style as the ones used for the previous 2 German series. Each sachet contained one randomly packed MicroStars figure, which could be on one of the seven base colours, which are Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver, Gold and Black.

The first wave contained 40 different figures, which were an incredibly varied mix of players from a host of different clubs from England, Spain, Italy and of course Germany. Many of these figures MC codes feature in other MicroStars series, however there are also some which are unique to this series, and who's MC codes were not used in ay other series.

 

 

I do quickly need to mention the Gianluca Zambrotta figure for Barceona, his MC codes are identical to those used in Brazil Serie 1 Craques da Bola, however there is a difference in his boot colour, Germany Series 3 has him with Black boots, the Brazil Series 1 has him with Gold boots, so this creates an interesting variant to collect.

 

 

The figures inside the Germany Series 3 sachets were loose, they were not sealed inside a clear plastic bag. A collectors information leaflet also came issued with the figures which detailed those available in the series, with the text being in German. The sachets were released inside a CDU (Counter Display Unit) however at this time I am unsure as to how many sachets were included with each CDU, the distributor for the series was once again SIMBA.

What is unique to German Series 3 is that there was also a second packaging format used, which was to have the plastic capsule placed on a backing card, the same style as used in the Central Europe Series. This version was produced for a discount store in Germany called NORMA, who retailed the product at €1,79 and it was exclusively sold in their stores.

The Norma version also featured 2 exclusive figures, which were Tomas Rosicky for Arsenal and Daniele De Rossi for Roma, they are not exclusive in the sense that their MC codes were used in other MicroStars Series, however they were not in the Germany Series 3 sachet product, they could only be found as part of the blister capsule edition sold in Norma stores. What else is fascinating about the Norma release is that the players inside the capsule were sealed in clear plastic bags, so for those who try to collect everything still sealed in bag then it is possible to find German Series 3 figures sealed in clear plastic bags, however they will be incredibly rare.

 

 

Germany Series 3 also had a second wave released, Wave 2 featured the 40 figures from the first wave and 8 new figures to collect, all of which are Legend figures! These 8 legend figures were all exclusive to Germany series 3 Wave 2 and not released as part of any other Microstars Series, as such they have always remained in high demand and vastly collectible.
