UK SERIES 7

Corinthian MicroStars Series 7 was another bumper release, consisting of 46 figures and was actually the first MicroStars series to actually carry the series name on the packaging, with the series really setting the format that Corinthian would use moving forward.​

There are 32 players from the English and Scottish Premiership in their respective clubs home kits, with these 32 figures being found in the Green capsules.

The Yellow capsules featured 6 players in club away kit, those being Milan Baros for Liverpool, Gilberto Silva for Arsenal, Gianfranco Zola for Chelsea, Junichi Inamoto for Fulham, Jamie Redknapp for Tottenham Hotspur and wonder kid Wayne Rooney for Everton.

A Silver capsule was also produced which contained the 8 figures in international home kit, those being Gudjohnsen for Iceland, Hyypia for Finland, Gallas for France, Hadji for Morocco, Riis for Norway, Toda for Japan, Radzinski for Canada and Kewell for Australia.

 

 

All figures were also released in Japan Miniatures Series 3, the only exception being Kazayuki Toda in Japan home kit, he was only in UK Series 7, he was part of Japan Miniatures Series 3 in the Tottenham hotspur away kit as the Chaser figure though.

In 2022 something rather interesting was discovered, which is that there was a China & Hong Kong version of this series released, called MicroStars Series 3, the box design was the same as Miniatures Series 3, however it only consisted of 38 figures, it did not contain the 8 international kit figures or Toda in Spurs away kit. Very little is known about this series in terms of release and distribution, as it was never mentioned by Corinthian, the figures are identical to those in UK Series 7 and Japan Miniatures Series 3 and they do come with a collector's information leaflet which was in Chinese.

As regards packaging formats, Corinthian released a Single Pack and also a 3 Player WCL Game Pack. The Single Pack contained 1 Powerpodz which had inside it a Green or Yellow Capsule, priced at £1.49.

The 3 Player WCL Game Pack contained 1 Powerpodz and 2 additional capsules, all 46 figures were included, with the Silver capsules containing the 8 international kit figures being exclusive to the 3 pack. One of the capsules was guaranteed to be Gold, which would contain a Gold based figure. The pack retailed at £3.99 and was available from the usual retailers and also from Corinthian Direct.

All figures were released on 6 different base colours, Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver and Gold, with the goal keeper figures having 4 different MC codes per base colour. The figures were packed into clear sealed plastic bags and placed inside a capsule, coming with a collector's information leaflet.
