UK SERIES 13 WORLD STARS 2006

With the 2006 World Cup looming on the horizon, Corinthian released MicroStars UK Series 13 World Stars 2006, with stock hitting the stores and Corinthian Direct on the 20th March 2006.​

MicroStars UK Series 13 consists of 47 different figures, well it's actually 49 as Thierry Henry in France home and away kit was released with 2 alternative poses. The reason for this Henry variant is that the factory ran out of Henry during production, so to meet the required amount they simply had to use the other pose they had of him, the MC codes are identical for both versions, with the alternate pose being the rarer of the versions to find.

The figures were released in 3 different capsule colours, spread across 3 packaging formats. There was also an upgrade to the Black bases, which now had a FREE CALL of 24, essential for those who played the 'One on One' or WCL games.

There were 20 international home kit figures released inside Red capsules, those figures being Rooney, Cole, Terry Beckham, Gerrard, Aimar, Messi, Ronaldo, Adriano, Vieira, Makelele, Ballack, Van Bommel, Pirlo, Essien, Marquez, Figo, Park, Torres, Shevchenko and Buffon.

The White capsules contained 19 different figures in international home kit, which were Owen, Ferdinand, Lampard, Gerrard, Ayala, Ronaldinho, Robinho, Drogba, Henry, Schweinsteiger, Van Der Vaart, Gilardino, Borgetti, Deco, C.Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Prso, Kahn and Friedel.

 

 

The 8 international away kit figures were all found in the Yellow capsules.

The single player pack contained the 39 home kit figures, each pack coming with 2 chocolate Footballz and a Red, White or Gold capsule, being sold in retail stores priced at £1.19

The 2 player pack contained the 39 home kit figures, with each pack coming with 4 chocolate Footballz, a Red, White or Gold capsule plus a White or Gold capsule, being sold in retail stores priced at £2.19

The 3 player pack contained all 47 figures, each pack coming with 6 chocolate Footballz, a Red, White or Gold capsule, plus a guaranteed Yellow capsule and a guaranteed Gold capsule. The 3 player pack was available from retail stores and also via Corinthian Direct, priced at £2.99

11 of the figures were also released in Japan as part of Miniatures Series 12, those 11 being the 8 England and 3 Italy home kit figures, with the MC codes being identical for both series. The other figures used in Japan Miniatures Series 12 was largely the same line up as UK Series 13 but it had the players in their respective club home and away kits.

All figures were released inside a sealed clear plastic sachet and packed into a capsule, with each one being released on all 7 base colours, Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver, Gold and Black. The goal keeper figures were produced with 4 different MC codes per base colour, except the Black base which had the solitary MC code per figure.
