UK SERIES 17 PREM 08/09

Corinthian UK MicroStars Series Prem 08/09 brought together 39 figures of the top players from the English and Scottish Premierhsip, with a host of new sculpts amongst them.

Arsenal have 5 figures in the series, which are Cesc Fabregas, a fresh sculpt of Emanuel Adebayor, Robin Van Persie, Theo Walcott and the only figure Corinthian ever released of goal keeper Manuel Almunia. Chelsea also had 5 figures in the series, those being Michael Essien, Michael Ballack, Frank Lampard, Nicolas Anelka and the only figure they ever released of Salomon Kalou.

The 5 Liverpool figures are keeper Pepe Reina, Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Dirk Kuyt and the only time release of Fabio Aurelio. The 5 for Manchester United are Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs, Anderson and goal keeper Edwin Van Der Sar.

Tottenham Hotspur have 2 figures, with a fresh sculpt of Robbie Keane being joined by Aaron Lennon. Newcastle United's duo were forwards Michael Owen and Obafemi Martins. The duo for Aston Villa were first and only time sculpts, Ashley Young and Martin Laursen.

For Middlesbrough we have Stewart Downing and new sculpt of Alfonso Alves, with Everton having just one figure, the excellent sculpt of defender Joleon Lescot.

 

 

Bolton Wanderers had the 2 Kevin's released, Kevin Davies and Kevin Nolan, with the sculpt of Nolan being the same as seen in MicroStars UK Series 14 and Japan Miniatures Series 15, however this would be the only release of Kevin Davies.

 

 

Hammers fans could collect Dean Ashton and Fredrik Ljungberg, with Manchester City collectors had 2 fresh sculpts to pick up, with Micah Richards bursting onto the scene, he is joined by Benjani Mwaruwari.

 

 

Celtic and Rangers had 2 figures each, the Green half of Glasgow represented by Aidan McGedy and keeper Artur Boruc, and for the Blue half we have Barry Ferguson and legendary keeper Allan McGregor

A superb line up of figures with Corinthian releasing a single player pack and a 3 player pack. Both packs came with Jelly beans, with the 3 pack containing a guaranteed Gold base. The 3 player pack contained all 39 figures but the single player pack had just 23.

 

 

The line up for the single player pack was Fabregas, Van Persie, Almunia, Essien, Lampard, Anelka, Kalou, Reina, Aurelio, Gerrard, Carragher, Giggs, Van Der Sar, Ferdinand, Keane, Martins, Young, Downing, Davies, Ashton, Mwaruwari, Boruc and Ferguson.

 

 

The following 16 were exclusive to the 3 player pack, Adebayor, Walcott, Ballack, Kuyt, Vidic, Anderson, Lennon, Owen, Laursen, Alves, Lescott, Nolan, Ljungberg, Richards, McGeady and McGregor.

All figures were released on 7 different base colours, Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver, Gold and Black, with the goal keeper figures having 4 different MC codes per base colour, except the Black base which has the solitary MC code.
