JAPAN MINIATURES SERIES 1

Corinthian figures were incredibly popular in the Far East during the early 2000's, most notably in Japan, so Corinthian were asked by their official Japanese partner and distributor New Wave; who's store was Foot Circle, to have their own version of MicroStars made exclusively for the Japanese market​, the name given to this range would be Miniatures.

Japan Miniatures Series 1 featured 41 figures, 36 of which were regular editions and the other 5 were listed as Super Rare Limited Editions, and would be harder to find in the series. All the figures were from UK Series 1,2 & 3.​

The figures were released in a sealed secret sachet, the same style as the ones used for the Japan Miniatures. Each secret sachet contained one randomly packed MicroStars figure, which could be on one of the six base colours, which are Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver and Gold.

A collectors information leaflet also came issued with the figures which detailed those available in the series, with the text being in Japanese. The sachets were released inside a CDU (Counter Display Unit) with 24 boxes per CDU, with the distributor for the series being New Wave and sold in Foot Circle stores.

An Extension version of Miniatures Series 1 would also be released, however this time they would be inside a single box, which is the format they would use for all further Miniatures Series.

 

 

The Extension Edition featured the same 41 figures along with 2 Extension Chaser figures, which were Junichi Inamoto in Fulham away kit and Roberto Baggio in Bresica home kit. These 2 Chaser figures were exclusive to Miniatures Series 1, with the Extension version coming with it's own collector's information leaflet.​
