KEY RINGS - JAPAN SERIES

Corinthian produced a series of MicroStars Key Rings exclusively for the Japanese market, with the series featuring the top names in footbaal and all players held in high esteem by fans in Japan.

 

 

National heroes Shunsuke Nakamura and Hidetoshi Nakata are joined by idol Roberto Baggio, along with Ronaldinho, Deco, Luis Figo, Manuel Rui Costa and Alessandro Del Piero.

 

 

There are 22 figures to collect, with the figures released in blind boxes in the same style as the Miniatures series of MicroStars, so you were not sure which figure you would receive, with 15 blind boxes in each CDU (counter display unit)

The series was released in 2007 and was incredibly well received in Japan, which was not a surprise given the incredible line up. The figures have largely remained elusive for most collectors, with some proving almost impossible to find!

14 of these figures were also released as a Phone Strap, with the figures being identical but with a phone strap replacing the key ring, however 8 figures remained exclusive to being a key ring.

The figures are the same size as MicroStars however do not have a base, instead they have a key ring attached to their head, with each one being released in blister pack. There was no collector code on the figure, however for production purposes Corinthian did assign each one a code, which started with KP.​
